Cavallino Cocktail “Skotty”

        2002 – 2015

I had the amazing opportunity to purchase Skotty from my great friend Zach Brandt in August of 2015. Although she was only a member of a family for a few short months, every day that we got to be with her was a blessing. Skotty will always be the most magnificent and talented horse I’ve ever had the pleasure to know and ride.

As always, Lucia was able to put my feelings into words the day we lost Skotty – “We only got to have you as part of our family for a short while but our lives are forever changed because we got the chance to know you. The world has lost one of the kindest, hardest working, talented and just downright best girls ever and our whole family feels lucky to have been able to know you and watch you brighten Benita’s world with the joy you had for your job and the love you had for your people. We will forever be thankful to Zach Brandt who made it possible for Skotty to come to Benita and for all of us to fall in love with her and we are mourning her loss with him. I know you’ll find the biggest jumps in heaven, the lushest fields and a really friendly old man Oudo who’s already there waiting for you. You put up a hell of a fight beautiful lady, rest in peace Skotty- we miss you already and we’ll love you forever.”
